WHAT IS MODAL FABRIC?

Modal fabric comes from a plant fibre called cellulose, which earns its place in a class of luxuriously smooth textiles called rayon. The cellulose that transforms into modal fabric actually comes from the pulp of beech trees.
The fabric has been likened to silk, with a similarly natural sheen. You’ll find modal fabric feels lightweight and very soft to the touch. The smooth fabric of modal is more hardwearing than silk and satin and less likely to pill, making it a luxurious choice that will last.
Modal fabric also comes up trumps in the sustainability department as a naturally biodegradable fabric, decomposing in as little as 20 years.
What’s more, its lightweight weave is very breathable, wicking away moisture, making it a cool choice on warm days, and the perfect option for summer pyjamas.
