WHERE ARE ALL THE LOVE ISLAND CONTESTANTS FROM?
With Love Island receiving a record number of applications this year, we wanted to know if your postcode affected your Love Island application. We’ve done some digging and found out which regions have produced the most Love Island contestants to date and you might just be surprised! So if you’re thinking of applying for the next series and enjoying a long, hot summer in your fave swimwear, then you might be interested to see this…
WHICH PART OF THE UK HAS PRODUCED THE MOST LOVE ISLAND CONTESTANTS?
Okay, it’s no real surprise that London has produced some of our fave ex-Love Island contestants, with a whopping 23 contestants coming from the capital, including:
• Nas Majeed (Winter Love Island)
• Eve Gale (Winter Love Island)
• Jess Gale (Winter Love Island)
• Leanne Amaning (Winter Love Island)
• Mike Boeteng (Winter Love Island)
• Shaughna Philips (Winter Love Island)
• Luke Trotman (Winter Love Island)
• Priscilla Anyabu (Winter Love Island)
• Ovie Soko (Series 5)
• Anna Vakili (Series 5)
• Joanna Chimonides (Series 5)
• Arabella Chi (Series 5)
• Josh Denzel (Series 4)
• Kazimir Crossley (Series 4)
• Jack Fowler (Series 4)
• Charlie Brake (Series 4)
• Samira Mighty (Series 4)
• Marcel Somerville (Series 3)
• Tina Stinnes (Series 2)
• Daniel Lukakis (Series 2)
• Lauren Richardson (Series 1)
• Luis Morrison (Series 1)
• Rachel Christie (Series 1)
Our girl Jourdan who looks fabulous in the Mollie plunge bra also hails from London, whilst she was only in the villa breifily after entering Casa Amour, she still was a fave! Another of our gals Anna looks so sassy with her beaut sister Mandi in the Amari lingerie body!
Despite the highest number of contestants coming from London, there hasn’t been one single (or coupled-up…) Love Island winner from the capital. There’s always series 6….
There have been loads of Love Island contestants from Essex, including our girl Zara McDermott and the gorj Sophie Piper. However, unlike London, Essex has produced some winners, including one of our faves, Kem Cetinay!
Our girl Olivia Bowen (who married her Love Island bae, Alex in Essex in 2018!!!) looks incred in our Darcie Longline Bra. Although our babe Zara might have swapped Essex for West London, she’ll always be an Essex gal at heart. She looks amazing in our Aisha Mini Dress, which is perf for date night.
Although Manchester hasn’t produced any Love Island winners to date, loads of ex-Love Islanders have relocated to ‘The Capital of the North’ from their hometowns in recent years, including:
• Finley Tapp
• Paige Turley
• Molly-Mae Hague
• Rosie Williams
• Olivia Attwood
• Ellie Brown
• Kendall Rae Knight
• Stephanie Lam
The Manchester backdrop looking nearly as beaut as Paige in our Rowena Longline Bra in her boujee Manchester apartment.
There have been seven Love Island contestants from Newcastle since the first series, including one winner, Amber Gill, who won everyone’s heart with her turbulent time on the show. Although her and Greg are no longer together, we’re still low-key obsessed with their story on the show.
In at number five, there have been six Love Island contestants from Scotland, including:
• Wallace Wilson
• Jamie Clayton
• Anton Danyluk
• Laura Anderson
• Camilla Thurlow
• Paige Turley
Paige may live in Manchester now, but she hails from Scotland! How fabulous does she look in our Jodie plunge bra!
There have been just five Love Island contestants from Wales, with the shining light being Amber Davies who won series 3 with Kem Cetinay in 2017. Unfortunately, the pair split up just five months after leaving the villa and Amber went on to star in West End musicals. Fancy.
At number seven we’ve got Hertfordshire, with four ex-Love Islanders originating from there, including the super-successful Molly-Mae Hague (who now lives in Manchester with Tommy Fury).
Perhaps one of the most memorable scousers from the villa is Hayley Hughes, who made some rather questionable comments during her stint, including the time when she asked what an earlobe was. Oh.
However, there are yet to be any winners from Liverpool. Series 6 maybe?
With three contestants from Kent, you might be surprised to learn that it has actually produced a winner – series 2 queen, Cara De La Hoyde, who went on to win with Nathan Massey. The pair are still together, and they’ve even started a fam. We love to see it.
WHICH PART OF THE UK HAS PRODUCED THE MOST LOVE ISLAND WINNERS?
The Love Island winners come away from the show with the love of their lives (hopefully) and £50k to share. It’s a pretty sweet deal.
But which part of the UK has produced the most Love Island winners to date? That would be Essex.
There have been three Love Island winners from Essex, including:
• Kem Cetinay
• Nathan Massey
• Dani Dyer
Maybe Essex is the place to be if you’re looking to bag that prize money…
So, if you’re thinking of applying for the next series of Love Island, you might just want to check your postcode first…
